Verizon wireless has kidnapped ny non-Verizon cell phone

Question

I called my non-Verizon cel;l phone company to have my Verizon landline number transferred to my non-Verizon cell phone. Now when  I attmept to use my non-Verizon cel phone I get a message from Verizon Wireless to p-ay them by credit card. Is there anything that can be done about this before I call my state Attorney General to report this farud? I can't now use my landlimne or my cell ophone because of this action by Verizon.

If you want to forward your Verizon landline to another number you pick up your phone and dial *72 then dial the number you want to forward it to. When you want to turn it off pick up your phone and dial *73
