are there any unlimited long distance plans anymore for a landline. They used to have them but i can no longer find them and calling is a nightmare lately with fiber optic harrassment i don't want.

Certainly they have plans that include unlimited long distance (us and some other areas). e.g. Freedom Essentials and Fios Digital Voice.
It seems that areas that are serviced by FIOS, you can only get Fios Voice. You may want to call the local office. I had a chat with VZ and here is what they said.
Your location is qualifies for FiOS digital voice. You will not get copper line home phone. However, I would request you to call Local Business Office for more information
