Collections

Does anyone know how to get a in contact with the Verizon collections department. I have spent a countless number of hours getting the run around on the phone and my account is now locked so I can't sign up for the online access to view the progress on my account or the amount needed to pay off.

This is still under an ongoing investigation, so I don't understand how or why my account would then go to collections without the investigation being closed. I'm at a total loss and then Verizon charged me over 5k for a buyout charge, so now my account is over 15k. This has been really frustrating because I don't have any numbers to contact, as well as my business rep has not been responding to inquiries. If any one has information on the number to the collections department so I can try to get this resolved I would appreciate it, I have been working to get this account fixed since September 2022 and it is now April 2023.

I did just receive another bill with a credited amount of 3k. If I’m receiving a bill for April, and I was told last week that the investigation is still ongoing, and I received a letter in the mail from convergent outsourcing collections I don’t know where to go from here. Do I keep working with Verizon then, or do I work with convergent?!

Did you ever find the correct phone number?? I’ve ran into this problem I’m trying to negotiate a settlement so I can get this removed from my credit but they keep saying I don’t have an account with them when it is CLEARLY on my credit report. I disputed it in March and it came right back. So I disputed it again saying no contact information and claiming I do not have the debt.
it’s a mess and it’s frustrating because I’m TRYING to pay them but nobody can find my account.

I have been trying to get any info I can to pay off this debt on my credit report and can’t get anywhere. I keep getting told that my number I used to have with Verizon has been given to someone else for there business line. Which I do not understand since I still have the same number with T-Mobile. I really just want to pay the debt and move on with my life but it seems Verizon wants to make it as difficult as possible.

No I’ve been going through and every number they give me goes to someone else that has nothing to do with the collections case. It’s so frustrating

My pleasure to reach out. Based on what I've found about researching credit disputes, contacting that team, and sending the letter you mentioned are the best things to do. Any dispute sent to a credit bureau is brought to a VZ team that looks at those situations and then responds and investigates.

I'd say you've done everything correctly, and that credit verification letter is the right means to get things fully resolved.
