Hi,
Joined Verizon in 2021, the representative opened one extra account in my name by mistake which I was not aware of. Activation charges were levied on that account.
October 2023 got an email from Verizon stating I owe them 46.59$. I called customer service and was told it was a mistake and the account is closed with the charges removed.
March 11th 2024 I got an email from Jefferson Capital stating the account is sold to them and I owe them 46.59$. On calling Verizon again I was told rather rudely by the recovery department the account is already sold since you didnโt pay and talk to the recovery agent goodbye.
Is this the service we get after paying bills on time and using the service for many years? Quite disappointing in how it was handled by no fault of mine.
