I returned my devices, closed my account 2 months later it's iin collections for the devices

I was unhappy with Verizon wireless and I returned the phone to them in the timeframe for returns. They received it and closed my account so I thought everything was done. Two months later it's now in collections and on my credit reports. I never heard anything from Verizon I only saw it on my credit report. When I contacted them about it and sent them proof that I returned the phone and tablet to them and proof it was delivered to them using there prepaid return shipping label. They said they would look into it and remove it from my credit reports. But almost 2 months later it's still on my credit. The collection agency claims to have looked into it but then they told me they don't have anyway to contact Verizon and claim the debt was valid. But it's not. Ten days ago after hours of trying to reach the right department. I spoke to Alex at Verizon who confirmed the phone was returned and they gave me a ticket number for zeroing out the account balance and she said to wait three to five business days to update in there system. When I called back a week later it turned out this was all a complete lie. So I called yesterday and the agent I spoke with was able to locate the phone and tablet was delivered and was in the warehouse. She updated this on my account and notated and gave me a reference number (*****) and told me it is notated on my account. And to call back tomorrow they will get it updated to a $0 balance with the collections account. BUT this didn't happen!! I have proof I returned the phone and tablet I attached the proof I have. I also have a photo of the phone in the return box right before I sent it back using there prepaid return label. I was afraid of this happening after I heard from a family member who had this situation happen with Sprint

Because of this horrible experience I will warn everyone I know to avoid Verizon and tell them about my horrible experience.

I submitted everything again PLUS the email I got from Verizon saying "Thank you for taking the time to speak with me. This email confirms the resolution of the items we discussed, and that the following transactions have been made to your account: Successfully documented all the details for the charge of $1893 showing up on the account even though the equipment were already returned last August, 2024 with this tracking 1Z0009489017835047". 

NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON MY ACCOUNT.

I will warn everyone I know about this horrible experience I had with Verizon and warn them to avoid Verizon
