I have gotta say Verizon has really become horrible lately. I recently decided to port out to a cheaper plan and have run into nothing but problems. My paid off phone being block listed as non-pay fraud. I pay my bill every month. Phone was paid off in December 2023; yet first rep I spoke with told me they had no record of that, and I would have to pay to have it removed. I call back ask for leadership/supervisor and spend 30+ minuets on the line 99% of which was on hold. They then tell me oh yea it is paid off and we will remove the issue. The blocklist removal can take up to 72 hours. No explanation, no real empathy just it will clear and rep hurrying off the line.
Verizon is definitely not the cheapest carrier out there but their customer service is on par with the worst of the worst. I am seriously hoping I donโt have to call again. It seems like they are just trying to force me to stay by putting obstacles in the way of port out.
Being the highest cost carrier, I had thought better of them but seems they are just trying to milk their customers for profit now. Keep up the terrible workโฆ.
