Verizon refuses to remove the negative mark on my credit report so far.

My credit score dropped from 815 to 600 something because I disputed $51 cell phone bill  after I transferred my number to AT&T. I was with Verizon for 20+ years, I never missed a payment in my life and I'm 44 years old.

They sent me to collections, I communicated with them and let them know I didn't owe the $51 so they sent it back to Verizon, I was told by Verizon to email ***** and they will let me know in 30days if Im correct or if I need to pay the $51.  Last Friday I see my credit score went from 815 to 600 something.....I was so fustrated I couldn't think talk about extra stress, Im in the process of buying my first home RIGHT NOW any day now it will be finished. I called and all they wanted to do was take payment, AT THIS point I will pay the $51 I don't really owe as long as they remove the mark on my credit.

I NEVER got a call or EMAIL telling me I lost the dispute and I need to pay $51 or they will make my credit.

I called today because I'm more composed and they tired to take payment, but won't remove mark, they can careless and waste of the entire day speaking to supervisors and managers supposedly, could even understand the first two people I spoke with. I will fight this and win one way or another. They said they sent me a letter saying the are going to mark my credit, I never received it, they should certified  such a document if that's the case, I received nothing. They can't call or leave me a message? why couldn't they email me saying we are going to wreak your perfect credit over $51....I would have paid even though I don't owe them.

Verizon has no accountability and obviously to large to communicate correctly or keep their own records right or correct. This should be a crime.

I guess worst case I'll blow this up on Social Media  and News Stations .  Help others before it happens to them.

I never wasted so much time in my life.....I moved to at&t after 20yrs never a late payment and now they are saying I used my phone 12/9/2024 to 12/13/2024......20 calls total. I emailed customer service with this bill and my At&t contract that shows they took over my number 12/7/2024. At this point im willing to just pay the $51 even though I don't owe, but they are saying they won't delete collections notice only that it will be paid in full on my credit report, it needs to be deleted because it not even correct. It's still in dispute, but just want it over. I heard if it goes to third party collections they will do pay to delete? I can't believe Verizon has the right to be the judge and jury even when they are wrong. They are so big and unorganized, can't even understand most of the people are finally get to speak to. They are rude and 100% wrong even with proof, I called yesterday again and they keep telling me Ill receive and email, third time I been told that. Shows they closed my account in April 2025 on my report and I still have $51 debt. If anyone has any good advice I appreciate it.
