Ive been a loyal verizon customer for over 15 years and have 100% of that time been aware that I pay a premium to have service more as a luxury than a benefit from verizon. I've recently become unemployed for 3 months with no income, I've pleaded for help on extensions and I keep getting told to wait until the day before disconnect before reaching out but what really happens is when calling financial services because you have a past due payment with a promise date the system will not give you any option to select and request a live agent. When this happens I also will be told in chat that they are not financial services therefore they can't extend extensions but only set them. By the time I get to that point of chatting with them for hrs at a time , sometimes they say they won't disconnect but 100% of the time they still do as long as they get me to break the communication long enough for the rep to break communication. My average bill for 15 years has been no less than 350 which means I've spent well over 50,000 on service and products with verizon and now that I need help so I can maintain my relationship with an insanely expensive service I get pushed to the final hr and it's forcing me to fall deeper Into to debt with other bills just to have a couple devices with access to wifi and cell service. My service is necessary while I try to re establish my career I'm building income now but need time to pay enough to satisfy verizon. I paid 800 a few days ago and am told I have to wait until the day before disconnect to attempt to make another arrangement
