On the Fios Digital Voice TV Voice Mail Logs screen, pending messages show the calling number but above the number it shows UNKNOWN. This seems odd because for the same call, the calling name is shown above the calling number on the Call Logs screen. Shouldn’t the UNKNOWN be the calling name?
Does anyone see the Calling Name on the Voice Mail Logs screen?

It's been quite a while since I last received a telephone call from "Unavailable", so I can't say if I'm seeing this. I have call filtering activated on my home phone, so most private calls are blocked from reaching me.
When checking my online call log after making an anonymous test call from my cellphone to my landline, the call record shows "Unavailable" with my landline as the called number. 🙂
Side note: Submitted pictures are queued until they can be reviewed by a Moderator. Once everything looks good, the picture will appear out in the open for all of us to see. 🙂

Thanks for the reply and the info about the photos. Please see my new post that does include the photo of the TV screen in question.
The new post is: TV Voice Mail Logs screen does not show the name of the caller

Please let me know if you see the Calling Name on the TV Voice Mail Logs screen, or if you see UNKNOWN?

Let me make 100% sure I have the explanation down pat....
A call comes in. On the Caller ID "flash" on the television screen, name and telephone number of the caller are displayed...but...if the caller leaves a voicemail message, the name of the caller is replaced by "Unavailable" in the voicemail log while the telephone number is properly captured.
Am I close? 🤔

The issue is when there is a voice mail message pending on your Fios digital voice line and you want to review, or play, it on your TV.
On your remote control press Menu and then select Fioe Digital Voice. When you review the Call Logs you will see the calling name and the calling number. On the Voice Mail Logs you will see the calling number but may see UNKNOWN instead of the calling name.
I am trying to find out if anyone in the community is actually seeing the calling name rather than UNKNOWN.

I unplugging my telephone system from the Verizon Fios ONT to try to duplicate the problem.
My test call was answered by Verizon's voicemail system. I left a test message, plugged my telephone system back in and proceeded to check the logs on the television.
The Call log showed both the name & number. The Voicemail log duplicated the "Unknown" name along with the originating telephone number.
What I can't say is if this is "normal" behavior, or if this is a bug.
I will need to do some digging to see what the answer is. 🙂

I would say that this is a bug because you got the same result that I did.
I had previously reported the issue to VZ, and tech support told me that “UNKNOWN will display for the caller ID name if for some reason the caller ID info cannot be retrieved.” When I pointed out that the “caller ID info” was available because the Call Logs for the voice messages in question included both the name and number, they did not seem to see the tie-in. I have found that working with VZ support can be frustrating at times.
Let’s see if anyone else in the Community provides feedback to my post.
