ActionTec router configuration file changed format? Can't restore backup!!

My router recently died and i got a replacement from Verizon - its an Actiontec MI424WR http://www.actiontec.com/products/product.php?pid=189

I'm unable to restore my old backups, it says the file is not compatible or what not. The old configuration file looks like this:

Was there a formatting change? I'd hate to go in and setup all those setting manually... i'd like to just drop in/edit these files manually...

Verizon recently began setting the router to encrypt and sign the configuration file, so that it would only work with the router that created it.

It's unfortunate, but they probably did it to reduce support requests.
