Sales team and Verizon literature says yes, tech support says no. I bought two extenders but maybe they won’t work for me. Who knows the answer?

What’s the router model? If you are confusing Fios Router with Verizon Router, that’s a huge problem in terms of answering your question. Please check your router’s model. If it is a G3100, that’s a Fios Router. If it is a CR1000A, that's a Verizon Router.

E3200 is the Fios Extender. It can only be wireless backhauled with G3100, namely the Fios Router for both technical and administrative reasons. Wireless is the backhaul method of last resort. I strongly recommend against using wireless backhaul.

Yes. The E3200 can connect to the G3100 by Ethernet, coaxial or WiFi.

Of the three options, WiFi is the least desirable because 5GHz signals attenuate rapidly over distance and through walls.
