Dsl/landline outage

Is there an area outage in Calvert county Maryland? I lost Internet and landline dial tone today. The dsl light on the modem flashes. I contacted customer support and submitted a repair ticket and received notification that my problem should be resolved on the 19th. The repair service informed me that there was a general outage in my area but was unable to elaborate. Just wondering if there is a widespread outage and if I will in fact be without Internet and phone all week. Thanks
