ETHERNET CABLES INTO MAIN PANEL?

Can I plug ethernet cables into the main panel in the basement and connect my pc and other devices into it, instead of using the actual router that is plugged into the main panel?

You technically can plug your computer into it, but you would have to release the DCHP from the router first before you do. (and setup your computer correctly). However you cannot connect more than one device into it (using splitter etc).
If you want connect multiple devices you need a router. Verizon only allows one IP to connect directly to the ONT.
Btw, this answer is only true if you are provisioned for internet through the ethernet plug on the ONT. (gigabit service).
If you are on the old service, you have to use their router as the internet is coming in through the COAX.

As stated above, you need to connect devices to a router with it connecting to ONT for Internet.
Not sure what you mean by main panel.
Are you refering to the ONT or is your house wired with a distribution panel?
If distribution panel, how does it connect to router?
