I am so unhappy with verizon and the excuses and run around they are giving me. I have been a very loyal customer for 3 yrs. When Fios first hit my area I loved it and recommended it to everyone. Well for the last 6 months or more there have been many issues. Right now, I want to speak about False Advertisements.
There is a new commerical that I noticed a few weeks ago. It mentioned the new fios hd multi-room DVR STB. They mention how 6 rooms can now view recorded shows. (not concerned with this option. What caught my attention was this statement word for word....."It also records in stunning Fios HD quality. And you can watch 1 show while recording two others." They go on to mention that the new box is free for the life but even if that is for new customers, I already pay for my HD multi-room DVR STB so it wouldn't be a issue.
When I called to order this box, I was told that my box should have been updated and should have the new options. When I mention that it doesn't, i was transfered to Tech support. The department that transferred me assured me that this was new and they went so far as to say that they themselves have the new option on their box. Tech support tells me that this doesn't exist. I don't believe them because I heard the commerical and I was just told by another verizon rep that they have this option. I ask for supervisor, who doesn't believe that I heard a commerical mention this option. Thank goodness for DVR because I had it recorded. He listens to it and tells me that he will have to have verizon pull this commerical.
Since then I have spoken to one department that says yes, we have it but now u have to order it online. Well I run into errors when trying to place the order. I am then sent to another department who helps with website issues. They explain that they only reset user names and passwords and put in tickets if there is a verizon website issue. So I am transfered back to another department who says they gonna transfer me to tech support. I beg them not to place me in a que. I want them to explain the issue and to listen to these two departments expalin to me who is right. Well I get transfered to someone who is very honest and says he don't know. He ask me to call back after the systems update in a week or so and possibly everything will be ready. I respect him for being honest....I hate being flat out lied to.
Well I have received a message explaining the commerical. They say it means you can watch a recording while recording two shows. Well that would be believable if it wasn't already that way for serveral years. What is new about that is my question. False advertising. I spend almost 200.00 a month for my verizon service and I am not asking for handouts. I just want what I pay for. Can I get that? Am I requiring too much?
Commerical is playing daily on primetime TV. If I need to post this commerical as proof, let me know. The deal is also offered on this site. I don't have to make things up, but Verizon has resulted to doing that.
