I've upgraded to CR1000A and have 2x E3200 connected to the network over cable using MoCA. The E3200 works fine. I'm trying to convert my G3100 to an extender. I followed the instructions in this forum to do that. Basically assign an address to the G3100 and disable DNS services. The G3100 shows up as an extender when I look at it from the CR1000A perspective and can see other hosts on the LAN. The issue occurs when I go to a browser and type a URL from a host hardwired to the G3100. I get the following error.
This site can't be reached.
www.southwest.com server IP address can't be not be found.
It appears that hostname to ip address resolution is failing. For some reason the G3100/CR1000A combination is not providing hostname resolution from outside the local network. Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thank you.
