Getting new fios installation. Will this FIOS installation work okay?

I will be getting the ONT installed in the garage. Will the following setup work?

Coax wiring already exists between garage and the office and the living room.

Also, just out of curiosity would verizon put in a new coax inside the house if I wanted it as part of the installation without charging extra?

Assuming your coax is in decent shape and the lengths are reasonable, that should work fine. FiOS is designed to work on typical home coax networks.

Verizon may install some coax at no charge, but it will be run outside the building or along interior walls. They do not install or replace in-wall cable as part of a standard install. You'll have to ask your installer what they can do without charge.

You will be billed for coax if it is for television. If it is for the router then you will not be billed.

What happens during installation?

Your installation includes connecting up to three televisions with existing coaxial outlets (including installation of Set Top Boxes). It also includes programming of the FiOS TV remote control for your Set Top Boxes and televisions. Additional TVs can be set up for an additional charge.

Our technicians will also do the outside work, including installation of any required network equipment such as the Optical Network Terminal (ONT), Battery Backup Unit, and router, if this equipment is not already present. Depending on the area and your home's set-up, our technician(s) may or may not fish walls or move furniture when installing or replacing wiring or installing Set Top Boxes. The technician will determine installation specifics with you on the date of installation.

How much does it cost to install extra outlets?

Your Verizon FiOS TV technician can install new outlets for an additional charge. Depending on the area and your home's set-up, our technician(s) may or may not fish walls or move furniture when installing or replacing wiring or installing Set Top Boxes.
