Hi Verizon Community,
I have a Fios G3100 router and an E3200 extender. The router is downstairs and connected to coax. The extender is upstairs and connected to coax as well. Both are working well. However, I'd like the ability to turn Wifi OFF on the extender and have not been able to do so.
The only admin login which works for the extender is the router login info. The default admin login for the extender will not work. I am able to see settings on the "mynetworksettings" admin page, but can only turn the Wifi off on the router. The option to turn Wifi off on the extender is not enabled (the green on/off toggles are disabled).
My goal here is to primarily use the extender to facilitate a wired connection for my home office and use it with the Wifi OFF because the extender is only 10 feet from where I work all day but turn the Wifi on from time to time when I need it for external devices.
Appreciate any advice! Thanks

This is not possible. E3200 reads SSDP sent from G3100 and applies the same settings as G3100.
If you don't need an E3200, why don't you buy a MEA instead. MEA is cheaper than E3200.
If you get E3200 as a free rental due to a new customer, there should be an option for you to choose between E3200 and MEA.

Thanks—sorry, what’s an MEA?

MEA is a MoCA Ethernet Adapter https://www.verizon.com/home/accessories/moca-ethernet-adapter/
