My own Quantum Router - unable to access from website or MyFiOS app

I recently switched my Verizon provided quantum router G1100 with my own, purchased locally. Internet, Phone and TV service is working perfectly without any issues. The only item not working is acessing the router from the website or from the MyFiOS app. I get There was an error in retrieving your router information error on the website and SSL Certification Error on the MyFiOS app on iOS. No problem in connecting to the router locally using 192.168.1.1. Have done the hard and soft resets, DHCP lease release multiple times. Verizon support sees correct MAC adress details at their end. Any suggestions ?

You bought a like router? Not a non branded router like a Netgear or Asus etc.
you will not see any non Verizon branded router on the my Fios app etc.
