Hello,
I will be moving to Redmond, WA soon to start working for a certain software giant - I am sure you all can guess which.
I would like to move into an apartment complex that has FiOS, preferably TV and Internet but just Internet is fine. Since I am not sure what apartment complex I will be living in, or what my exact address will be, I can't use the look up tool provided by Verizon.
Is there a coverage map somewhere, or can anyone recommend some nice apartment complexes in and around Redmond that I would be able to get FiOS at?
Thanks in advance!

I too am interested in a rollout schedule for FIOS. I am in a suburb of Pittsburgh. Some areas nearby are already receiving it.
I find it very hard to believe that a company of the stature of Verizon does not have a project plan with target dates to roll out what is essentially a state of the art network.
I know it takes some work to lay the fiber cable, but someone must have an idea of when this will occur.
I am interested in upgrading my services and bundling them, but I do not want to make a two-year committment to Direct TV (thru VERIZON) if I could know that FIOS will be available within a short timeframe.
Come on and just give us an idea of when the FIOS rollouts will occur.
Skitzthegemini,
please read the following regarding Fiber Availability in the network Verizon Fiber network For Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin
I am in Glen Allen, VA and in the Carrington subdivision, when will FIOS service be installed? It is in all of the subdivisions around, but not this one.
Would anyone be able to provide me with specifics for when VZ will be expanding its fiber in 15232. I am currently in 15206 and loving the service, but I may be moving and looking at the poles the fiber stops 1 block from where my new property may be which is in 15232.
Thanks!
Verizon is in the process of selling their assets in WA to Frontier Communications.
As a result FIOS deployment has stopped. The build out, which was going quickly where I live, has stopped. The FIOS trucks are nowhere to be seen.
Deployment within city limits was to be complete by last March according to a presentation given to the public. That is no longer the case.
Coverage is hit and miss in the city. Good luck.
Man, that Verizon PR piece about the sale to Frontier is a real masterpiece of spin.
The deployment in Redmond WA has stopped. There is nothing happening. The spools of conduit have been packed up. The surveyd streets have not been wired. The big FIOS trucks are MIA.
In the end Verizon will walk away with a few $bn, frontier will be deep in debut and Comcast will reign supreme with their mediocre service.
Way to surrender, guys. What will you do when the cash from this transaction runs out? Penny wise, Pound foolish.
