I am trying to set up port forwarding so I can enable ssh on my G3100 router. Verizon customer support said it is "not possible". Has anyone had success with this?

I can't get this working either. I strongly suspect the router is not running an sshd server.
The router does not run sshd unless it is enabled through the backdoor TR-069.
