Slow upload speed

I currently have 20 up and 20 down service. While I consistantly test and receive 20 down, now I only get about between 8 and 10 upload speeds. I have reset the router but upload speed to still slow. I used to get 20 down all the time. Is my router or VZ limiting my upload speed now? I also optimized my computer settings using the verizon tool.

It could be just the website. Try a bunch of different servers - I found a lot of those speed test servers can't handle massive uploads 24/7.

I use speedtest.net a lot and from where I am in california, SD server gives good upload results, but LA gives crap results.

give that a shot and post multiple results and what servers you are using from what site.

to answer your question, verizon doesn't impose bandwidth caps so if you're a 20/20 cust you should get very close to that depending on network load.

industry standard is "at least 75%" of your limits.

Are you using Vista (32 bit or 64?), or XP?
