Hi - is there any advice on who to contact to follow up to bury exposed cable after an installation?
My old house, which had FIOS, was torn down and rebuilt. Now that construction is complete a tech came by the other day and installed FIOS but just ran cable from the box to the house, leaving the cable lying on the edge of the street and over the lawn. There was no mention of a follow up visit to complete the cable burying.
This creates a safety hazard for my family and gardeners working on my property. Furthermore, since we rely on our landline for 911 service, this exposed cable can be easily damaged by cars, snowplows, vandals, or the simple act of mowing a lawn.
I would assume this is something Verizon would follow through and bury, or does a complaint need to be escalated to the county or the state utility commission?
Thanks
