A New $5 Per Month Price Increase for existing price for life High Speed Internet

I have been paying the same monthly price $27.99 per month for DSL High Speed Internet service up to 3 Mbps (2 Mpbs actual) since around early 2008 or 2009.

This plan was $27.99 per month PRICE FOR LIFE plan.

On the August 2024 bill it stated-the Verizon DSL High Speed Internet just increased by $5.00/month in August of 2024

This was supposed to be for “LIFE “ plan

Why has there been a price increase when it was supposed to be a set price for life ?

This needs to be addressed please ?

Could you provide the original contract that states the saying that the price is for "life?"

I have the same issue and when I signed up I was informed by the agent my price of 27.99 was guaranteed for life as long as I had a wire connection. I am including article that states price guarantee for life per Verizon.
