Actiontec WCB6200Q MOCA Password

Previous posts on this forum indicate that the MOCA privacy/password is configurable on the WCB6200Q. In firmware 1.1.04.49, this does not appear to be an option under Advanced Setup after authenticating as admin.

How do I set the MOCA password in the UI?

For this firmware version, what is the default setting for MOCA security? What is the default MOCA password?

Is there a better firmware? Can someone share a URL?

WCB6200 is quite old and I only have access to a WCB3000N in my lab, so your screenshots would be very helpful.

MoCA privacy password is defaulted to be 999999.... or 8888..., and is typically disabled. MoCA privacy is useful and even encouraged in network environments that multiple households have access to the same electrically connected coax network. Under this circumstance, not having a password may prompt someone to piggyback on your Internet. Furthermore, you need the same MoCA privacy passwords on all of your MoCA nodes to be operable.

Verizon must have removed the ability to set MOCA privacy/password in this firmware version or locked it behind some hidden part of the UI. Even while logged in as "admin", it does not seem to be configurable.

The inability to set MOCA privacy causes interoperability problems with devices on which it cannot be disabled like the NIM100.
