Actiontec’s MI424WR admin page broken

Hello everyone,

The connection between my Actiontec’s MI424WR router and my wireless devices have been poor lately, with latency and low speeds. I decided to change the channel setting on the router in case there was interference with other devices in my apartment complex. When accessing the admin page to the router I receive warnings in the browser of the unsafe connection because of the expired certificate. I indicate that I want to proceed. That’s issue one. The other issue is that admin page itself is broken, having none of images display, with image cannot be found broken links markers all over. 

Any thoughts on what is happening here?

Unable to load images typically reveals a SSL certificate error, or the router's CPU is too wore-out to properly negotiate a secured  HTTP connection...

MI424WR is out of support which means it no longer receives security updates to patch security vulnerabilities. Continued operation of this router really places your home network at risk.
