Are Verizon Mail Servers Down???

While trying to send and receive verizon email on outlook 2007 I get the following error.

Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' verizon

It just stopped working today I have changed no settings even went to the Service check-up website website and it sats the following

The fix cannot communicate with the email servers at this time. To return to Verizon Service Checkup, click Exit.

I can log in and check my email on verizon.net but I cannot use outlook. Smiley Indifferent

I reset my router, restarted computer re-added my email address and tried again it worked don't know what happened but thanks anyway

Sommar, If you are able to access your email @ verizon.net then the mail servers are not down. I would double check your settings in outlook.

I deleted the account in outlook and started over with the advisedd settings and it still does not work. I deleted that account and tried to set up the account on the Verizon Service Checkup and the service check (The Verizon Website) said it could not connect to the server. I restarted my computer and did it all over again it still doesn't work
