Time span; from about 6/11/2024 to 7/23/2024:
6/11/2024: about the first day or a week after a temporary cable was installed to the neighbors home. Cable starts from a Verizon box (on my property) and the cable extends to the rear of the neighbor's home. The neighbor's Verizon internet service was restored by the temporary cable.

Chronology of events (in bullet format):
On June 18, 2024: 2 techs show up. first tech Louis, advised that lawn needs to be marked by utilities service. Should be another week before the service is done or around June 25. Same date; another unnamed tech shows up. Unnamed tech wants to remove the temporary cable. I ask if he knows if a permanent cable has been buried, no response from tech (blank stare). Tech says he can remove the temporary cable if I want it removed, I responded, with "no" donโt remove cable as we donโt know if the permanent cable has been buried and removing the temporary cable will cut off the neighbor's Verizon internet service. Tech looks around and leaves without performing any service. It is unknown if the tech relayed any of this event to the dispatch/service log, as I received no feedback from this particular unnamed tech.
June 20, 2024. Miss Utility marks lawn.
June 24, 2024, digging crew, comes and goes. It is unknown if the crew buried a cable(?). Crew did dig a trench. Crew did not provide post dig information. Temporary cable remains above ground.
June 26, 2024: contacted via chat, Verizon support. New ticket made.
7/23/24: Tech was to be here on 7/22/2024, no tech showed on 7/22/2024, chat with Verizon service, told Tech should be here on 7/23/2024.
Responding to ticket number VADQ0ZD2TD, @1:20pm, tech looked at the back of neighbors house. Tech is told that the neighbor's know that internet service maybe cut off temporarily, tech talks to neighbor. Tech advised that job should be done in a few minutes. 1:26pm. Tech done, work completed, temporary cable removed, tech hauls away former temporary cable. I confirmed with the neighbors that their internet service is working.
Summary: Had I not been persistent with contacting (via chat) Verizon service, I have to assume the temporary cable would remain above ground and running across my property. Communication between chat service, responding techs, and digging crew is poor.
Suggestion/s: A text, email or telephone call/voicemail (I am a verizon wireless, internet and telephone customer) with a brief service tech or digging crew visit information would be helpful. For example, if the tech was to respond on 7/22/2024 and was not going to make it that day, then I could be texted something like "tech not coming today, tech should be there tomorrow 7/23/2024"... or when the digging crew left without any further information, a text could be sent such as "digging crew buried permanent cable (note I assumed they buried the permanent cable as the digging crew did not speak to me, before leaving), another tech will respond on x/xx/xxxx, to connect the permanent buried cable, and remove the temporary above ground cable".
