First off --- My account is a Enthusiast to the forum, though I am a 35+ broadcast TV tech, and I am very proficient w/ networks and computers.
My plan is 1Gb up/down, and my wired speeds are in the high 800/low-mid 900 range.
I have a CR1000A router, and up until approx. 10 days ago, everything was working OK. Then I noticed that the wireless up/down speeds fluctuated when doing fast.com, speedtest.net and Verizon speed tests. Shortly after, my internet completely dropped. A tech came out and replaced the ONT, and for a short time, everything seemed OK. Then I had wireless dropouts. A supervisor came out and replaced the router. I still notice an issue w/ slow wireless speeds, as well as dropouts on my firestick - where I had to delete/add my router AND delete/re-load a couple of apps.
As far as devices, I have a number of IOT's, and they were NOT on the IOT portion of the router --- and I NEVER had an issue with wireless bandwidth.
In reading other posts, it seems that this model of router is buggy, and I wonder if I should downgrade back to G3100, if they have enough in stock.
Please tell me that I am NOT alone with this issue.
