Cannot get into my Verizon Fios router settings to forward some ports

Cannot get in my Verizon Fios router settings to forward some ports. I know how to get to it (ipconfig and such) but when I go to enter in my ID and Password, it doesn't work. I may have forgotten it. In this case, where can I go to reset or look at what my current router password and Id is?

If that doesn't work, try hard reseting the router by pressing the reset button in the back of the router for 10 seconds. Then make your own username and password.

Will hard resetting it require me to do any configuring? In other words will I still be able to get on my internet and have my wifi available?
