Connecting another wireless access point via ethernet

My wifi doesn't reach my office even though the techs said it did during installation. I've run a cat6 cable to the office which gives 800~mbs download speeds. however when I plug said cable into a wifi router set in AP mode (wavlink model WN532A3) i only get 100mbs download when connected wirelessly even though the router supports up to 1200mbs transfer speeds. any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?

It looks like the Wavlink WN532A3 only has 100Mbps Ethernet ports on it. Per: https://www.wavlink.com/en_us/product/WL-WN532A3.html

Might want to look at better hardware. With that said, if you use the Verizon router currently, Verizon may offer you a free Network Extender (Free as in rental but no charge) for having Gigabit service or as some other perk. Their network extenders can accept Ethernet as the backhaul medium as well as Coaxial cable.

The 1200Mbps speed rating is the theoretical PHY Rate of the Wi-Fi radios (866Mbps + 300Mbps =  1166Mbps is generally more common here). That is typically how consumer routers get marketed. The actual speed will be less than 1200Mbps.
