My E3200 extender only maintains a backhaul over Ethernet. Whenever I unplug the LAN cable, the LED turns solid yellow (no internet), and in Backhaul Logging it never switches to “Wi-Fi” — it stays stuck on “Ethernet 1000 Mbps.” The extender never “hears” my router’s network. I have tried the WPS connection/pairing multiple times even after factory restoring the extender.
Model/Serial: E3200 / *****
Router: Verizon G3100, FW up to date
What I’ve tried:
1. Disabled SON & band-steering on the G3100
• Split SSIDs to weeniehut-2G, weeniehut-5G, weeniehut-6G
• Applied changes and rebooted the router
2. Fixed 5 GHz to Ch 40/80 MHz on the G3100
• Confirmed in Router UI and Radio Management History
3. Power-cycled the E3200 (unplug 30 s, plug in) to pick up SON=Off
4. Ran multiple 5 GHz Scans in Extender UI → Wi-Fi → Radio Management
• Result: Saw only DFS channels (56, 60, 100, 116); never saw Ch 40
5. Backhaul Logging test (Clear → unplug Ethernet → wait 30 s → Refresh)
• Result: Only “Ethernet 1000 Mbps” entries; no “Wi-Fi” backhaul ever appears
