E3200 Not Connecting to PC Via Ethernet

When attempting to connect my PC to my new E3200 wifi booster, the ethernet icon on the PC simply flashes for a while, then turns to display no internet. It shouldn't be an issue with the PC's ethernet port or the ethernet cable, as before this, I was able to connect an older (worse) booster to my PC with the same cable, it just doesn't work on the E3200

From what you have described, this should be working. You might want to look into the E3200s logs to see if there are any clues.

When you hook up your PC, does it get an IP address? (Probably not, but you can check by opening a command window and typing ipconfig /all. Then, locate your Ethernet connection in the list of devices. If it's 192.168.1.x, where x is in the range of 2 to 254, that's good. If it starts with 169.254, the PC can't contact the DHCP server.

What router are you pairing with the E3200? Can you verify that the wireless connection from the E3200 is working?

I believe it's a FIOS CR1000 Wireless Gateway

Your CR1000 (A or should be compatible with that. Is the wireless network from the E3200 working?

You may want to turn off Self-Organizing Network (SON) to see if that helps. The User Guide discusses logging onto the extender to check the status and turn features on or off.
