Extender glitch

We had been using a RANGEXTD for some time and it was working. Now, it is iffy. If I purchase a Verizon extender for our G1100 to use to get FIOS on the second floor, which one is good enough?  It can be plugged in  Thanks.

The Mix and Match 3.0 plans all include a free Verizon router. Not getting one free probably means your account is still on Mix and Match 2.0 or even 1.0 plans. You might want to upgrade to Mix and Match 3.0 from earlier plans. Although the base monthly rate may increase, but maybe offset by a -$10 loyalty discount, which renders an  overall -$5 discount + the free router.

The name Verizon Extender refers to a CE1000A specifically, this device is only compatible to a Verizon Router (CR1000A/B).

The official extender for G1100 is the Fios Network Extender Gen 2 (WCB6200). Both the G1100 and WCB6200 are near the end of useful life, so future-proofing is highly advisable. A Verizon Router is typically included in your monthly bill, so the service representation would be glad to send you a free rental if you call in.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately " A Verizon Router is typically included in your monthly bill, so the service representation would be glad to send you a free rental if you call in" . This is not free, but I did get one. It works okay but not great.  Rebooted everything. Did all one is supposed to do....connectivity is iffy and dependent upon the time of day up on the 2nd floor. Not terribly impressed with verizon who we have been with for decades.
