Had an outage at the node several weeks ago. The G3100 model router shows a yellow indicator when this happens. Spoke to several techs, who seemed not to know this. I was told to go to the Verizon store to exchange my old router for a new one. So about 2 hours later, with a new router, still yellow indicator.
An hour later - a text comes thru "We have detected an outage..." Tech said 50 or so people reported same outage nearby. So why did I have to go get a new router??
Outage again 2 weeks later. Same text. Yellow light. Later fixed.
Now another yellow light on router, interruption, tech on phone (not US based) says "Oh sometimes with tech devices, you know, not always predictable etc etc."
Yeah, thanks. Nobody can tell me why this snit happens, randomly, or if any service work or other reports in the area were submitted. Snitty "customer service" - training and knowledge - is about all I can say.
