2/13 - morning noticed that Internet was slow.
Did a speed test and got, 2MB/s download and 960MB/s
Checked all wi fi and all looked fine no changes were made overnight while sleeping 🙂
Checked fios router and couldn't find a speed test on it, Checked online Fios Speed test and it should nothing wrong with the router and full speeds.
Did online troubleshooting and router was reset did this 5-6 times in different ways
Chatted with an agent that told me my router was old and signed me up for a new plan for more money of course
Chatted with support again and was told by agent no issue on their end and I have too many wireless devices, I have a gigabit plan and I am testing on a Wired device not wifi
Router shows very low RX Rate and TX Rates, when the test is generated by Verizon on Router the Rates go up but when I run it from a wired device it is low, even the hourly rate on the router bandwidth log is low.
The Agent was rude and said there is no problem. I am getting less then 2MB/s download on a wired connection direction to Fios Router
this started 7am ad by 3pm I finally got an agent on the phone, who confirmed there is packet loss but he didn't see the same low numbers I was seeing but did see low numbers and tried everything but no fix.
He then schedule a service ticket which is in two days
So barely any connectivity for two days.
I have a laptop connected directly to the Fios Router and I am getting full speed to router via Fios speed test but barely anything to deivce.
Overall a very poor experience but nothing new on this forum. Will report back after replacing fios router which should arrive today or tomorrow and after service visit.

New Router was installed no Change same symptoms
Tried Chat support again after the horrible experience yesterday with Chat support
Finally got an Engineer who quickly identified something was wrong, says a service visit would be required.
He did change something on the backend which bumped the download /Upload speed to 100MBs/50MBs from 2MBs/960MBs. So at least I can work

Last night 6:37pm new router started rebooting
After couple of times it settled and speeds went up to 800+ download and 200ish upload not great upload.
Verizon online test still showed fake numbers and ookla showed what was going on
All test speeds are from directly wired device to router no wif fi
Tech came today and replace ONT to new version and changed some cables and ran directly cable for ont to router
Verizon speed test continued to show fake numbers
Ookla shows 800ish download and 150is upload - not great but at lease we can work
not great and not advertised 1/1Gbs but not sure Vz cares
its just matter of time before we get another service provider in hour area with better service and we switch.
Way to go verizon
