Fios INSTALLATION

I presently have Spectrum internet and want to replace it with Fios. Their coax comes into the house in the basement and connects to 26 feet of self-installed, in the wall, coax cable that takes it up to the 2nd floor.
1. Can the Fios cable come directly into the house replacing the Spectrum coax with no box on the new siding?
2. What do I use to replace this 26 feet of coax? A cat 8 ethernet cable or an optical fiber cable? I want to do it myself since it would be a time consuming job for the Verizon tech.
3. My router works off an ethernet cable (modem is separate), Can I use my existing router?
Thank you

Cat 8 is overkill. CAT 6A at most if you want 10Gbps, but the fastest Fios is only 2Gbps at the moment. The ONT needs to be connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. The Coax cable can stay in case you order TV services.
The field installation tech does not fish cables through walls besides passing through a siding or a drywall for the PON line.
