Hello,
Several months ago - I lost the ability to control my Mcafee parental controls through the fios app... every since its been a nightmare.
When going to the router, parental controls - everything is grayed out and says that because we have subscribed to the advanced parental controls ... we must use the My Fios App -- of course this app has been replaced by the Verizon One app.
In the Verizon App we get an error when it connects to the router and it does not show any options to configure the controls on the devices
I have spend more than 5 hours in 2 separate chats with verizon tech support. They are stumped that i cannot control through the router web access or the app. they connected to my phone camera so I can show them. They sent a new router and that didn't solve the issue
one of the earlier techs said I am caught in the old way Mcafee was setup and now its different.
Does anyone know how to get real technical support this is a major issue as we need the ability to utilize the parental controls... the support through the chat service takes hours and hours to get them and they repeat everything that the last person did .... and still no resolution .. everyone apologizes that I am frustrated and having a problem -- but not solutions, only going back and forth confirming what I am seeing.
Probably should just switch to another provided, but wanted to give it one last try,
Fios used to be better than the others, but now its very difficult to get to a human that can solve a real technical issue
does anyone have a clue on how to solve or a way to get to a higher level technical support technician

This is will be a three-step process. You need to identify the device's MAC address that you want to block. Then assign them DHCP reservations and enable wireless access control lists. Then finally configure the URL filtering in Parental Controls.
The problem is that modern privacy feature of iPhones make this network-based approach tedious. Users could simply change its DNS server to circumvent this restriction.

Do not use the Macfee, it is bloatware.
What are you trying to accomplish on Parental Controls? Limit Internet access? Limit website types?
