Hi, I’m new to Fios and had fiber internet only setup the other day, no TV. I have an existing Google WiFi mesh network and I’m looking for options to integrate it with Fios. Also would like to hear thoughts on this approach. The Fios router appears to have more functionality but I’m still in the learning phase.
I just picked up my free WiFi Extender yesterday because connectivity in one room is weak. I will try this today. . I thought perhaps I could use the Google WiFi Mesh as well.

You could use Verizon's Wi-Fi network and your Google Mesh network in parallel. You could change the Wi-Fi name and password on the router (and extender) to match the Google Mesh network or change the Google Mesh nodes to match the Verizon router. I would plug at least one of the Google (Nest?) nodes into an Ethernet cable. You could also just turn off the Verizon Wi-Fi if your Google Mesh provides good coverage.
Another option is to leave the Verizon router (and extender) and the Google Mesh as separate Wi-Fi networks. Then, you can try different devices on each network to see if one performs better than the other. The only issue is that they might interfere with each other for the channels they use, but they should be able to resolve issues like that themselves.

I connected my Google Wi-Fi Router in place of the Verizon router and it works great. I did not have to enable bridge mode. I restarted my Google Wi-Fi router, and probably didn’t need to do that but it works. I now have good connectivity in every room. I will monitor this configuration.Thank you

Thanks for responding. Did you enable bridge mode on the Google Wi-Fi router?
