I tried to reply to an older thread, but it won’t let me. So apologies first.
I have a G3100 and two E3200 with coax backhaul. Even with that, there are spots in the house I just can’t cover.
I went out and got a Linksys MESH with 5 nodes total. On WiFi, the speed is alright, but just isn’t the same as with the coax backhaul.
I got two MOCA adapter ($120), but with that can only still have one node with coax backhaul.
I am getting a G3100 and E3200 on eBay.
at present, I have
1. G3100 x 2, E3200 x 3, CR1000 x1.
2. MESH with total 5 nodes.
3. Two MOCA adapters.
I have two coaxial outlets I know is connected to where FIOS come in, one more that doesn’t get signals.
I have accepted that maybe the best course of action is just to used 1 G3100 as modem/router. Turn second one into a bridge with backhaul. One E3200 with coaxial support. The last 2 E3200 as wireless nodes.
Is that the best easiest way to utilize all the equipments? Can the G3100 be used as a wireless bridge?
Thanks.
