How long does a neighborhood install take?

Yesterday a 30+ man crew began digging and burying FIOS conduit in our neighborhood. We currently only have comcast here and are VERY excited to see FIOS moving in. My question is how long is it typically from them burying the cable to us being notified we can sign up.
