I am having trouble getting to some websites because I am not getting IPv6 service. It is NOT a router issue, as I have connected my client computer directly to the ethernet cable coming from the Verizon ONT> get an IPv4 connection but no IPv6.
Results from IPv6 test website confirm that I am not getting IPv6 service.
It's 2025. IPv6 is a necessity. 6to4 tunnelling has been depreciated for years. How do I get IPv6 service?

It took multiple Verizon support tech before finding one that was helpful, but the issue seems to be resolved. Resetting the ONT by holding the button on the side of the power block for 20 secs. got it to download the correct config.

There are no Layer 3 configurations on the ONT. ONT only acts strictly as a link-layer device.
Lack of IPv6 would point to the upstream Gateway Router or your home router.

Verizon support had me reset the ONT, but that didn't help (unfortunately I initially though it did, so I mistakenly got off the phone).

Show me your router's IPv6 configuration. Windows and MacOS do not support DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation and cannot get an IPv6 from Juniper router if directly connected to the ONT.
To my knowledge, IPv6 is enabled on all dynamic IP accounts across all regions.

So what you're saying is I need a router that supports DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation to connect to Verizon's Juniper infrastructure?
Do you happen to know of a list of such routers for home use?

IPv6 PD and selective LAN prefix is not widely supported by low-end residential routers.
For mid to high-end routers, yes, they are widely supported. Namely Cisco IOS, MIkrotik, Juniper, and so on.
