I have had their Fios for a few months now and now the cracks are shining through. These last two days ive had the internet lose connectivity but keep showing as if it was working to other devices “connected but no internet”. The lights on both devices seem fine the entire time, but it wont resolve itself. Then if i reset both devices it takes longer than 5 minutes to reconnect, not to mention if i plug in the router before the black box is finished resetting then the wifi will just stay broken the whole time unless i reset that one again.
What is the light on the "black box?" From your description, the black box seems to be the Optical Network Terminal (ONT). There should be an array of lit or unlit lights on the ONT.
