My nephews are having issues trying to play games on a Xbox console. It says UPnP connection is moderate. Is there away to turn this on? I have the CR1000A router.

First, ensure that Universal Plug & Play (UPnP) is enabled on your router by logging into it and taking a look. The CR1000A user guide's page 131 shows what that looks like. It's a check box on the Advanced --> Network Settings --> Universal Plug & Play page. It probably is, but checking doesn't hurt. You might want to try enabling the automatic cleanup of old, unused UPnP services.
My experience with UPnP has been fairly disappointing. Either it doesn't work reliably (or at all), or it's really slow. If you can figure out how, I recommend setting the Xbox to a specific IP address inside your network and using port forwarding rules. Microsoft provides some guidance on what ports you will need. Also, see this Reddit post.
