Hello,
We purchased a home that's nearly completed construction. The builder of the community states it is set up for FIOS and other homes they built in this community have FIOS subscriptions. Xfinity already has our address listed but FIOS does not. How can we definitively find out if FIOS will be supported at our new home? The builder does not seem to know what steps are needed.
Thanks,
Alex

Contact Verizon via Telephone and ask for them to open a FAST ticket. This ticket is used to correct the Verizon database. Once they've done that and confirm Fios is available, you can order Fios.

Just because one company has you in their data base doesn't mean all do. I'd start by asking for a address validation from Verizon.

Thanks spooom. Our address is listed in the USPS database and Verizon recognizes the address. Your advice to ask Verizon for an address validation isn't really that specific or informative. I did contact them and they just told me service isn't available. If you have experience with this problem can you share more information?

If you're in their database, then there's no more to be done except ask why it's not available. You originally stated you weren't in Verizon's database which is why calling and asking for an address validation was suggested. To get an address validation is simply calling and requesting one but wouldn't be necessary if it's in the database so it's a moot point.

I didn't know Verizon had a specific name for an address validation, thanks. Just hope I can remember it.
