Periodic Loss of Access - "No Servers Found" Error

After upgrading to 300/300 and getting the CR1000A (and later CR1000B) routers we periodically lose connection and have to do a hard power reset. This is the error that comes up in the logs:

[SYS.4][SYS] no servers found in /etc/resolv.conf, will retry
[WAN.6][SYS] WAN link down
 
 
Thus far technicians have replaced the ONT and swapped out the router. Still no luck, it works fine for a few weeks and then we get this error message.
