Red light fail on ONT Box. New router on old ONT

Question

It's my first getting internet at my new apartment. The place had an ONT in the basement, but the Fail red light was on. The buttons for VID, DATA, and Network had white/yellowish lights. Power and Bat are green.

Do you know if I need to do something about it or if the technician needs to come? I have tried pressing the reset button.

When I try to install the router, it shows me a message that the ONT is not connected, but it looks like the energy is right.

If the ONT's fail light is on, there are only two things you can DIY.  1st is the reset button, the other is to unplug the power supply from the wall for a little while, then plug it back in.  If the red light stays on after a power-cycle, there is a problem with the ONT that only a Verizon technician can address.  You'll need to contact them through their app, chat, or phone to arrange a tech visit.
