My home has coax wiring for in-house network distribution and I am using FIOS 100 Mbs Internet. The ONT is in the basement and the existing Verizon router is in the office on the second floor. I currently use Google Wi-Fi access points throughout the home with one connected to the Verizon router in the office.
I want to upgrade my FIOS Internet from 100 Mbs to 300 Mbs. I do not want to deal with any new Ethernet wiring in-house.
I believe I can simply use a couple of G1100 as MoCA adapters. G1100 are capable of pulling 500Mbps on Coax LAN. I can connect G1100 via Ethernet to the ONT and to my existing coax wiring in the basement. I connect the second G1100 to coax in the office. I continue to use my Google Wi-Fi access points as I do currently.
Other MoCA adapter options besides using G1100 are ECB5240M from Verizon.
This setup should work but I want community advice and confirmation. Thanks in advance.
