Yesterday out of the blue I got an email stating the following:
You've requested the following changes in your services. Below is an estimate of your monthly charges and first bill with these changes.

Remove | 500 Mbps 3.0 |
New | Fios 1 Gig |
Frankly I thought it was spam, as I have not been in touch with Verizon since the day I set up my router.
But I still decided to check if everything is OK on my account. Installed an app, logged in, and what do you think?
My plan indeed was changed from 500 mbps to 1 GB. How?! Why?!! And the audacity of stating that I cave requested this is puzzling to me.
Can anyone explain me how did this happen? And why almost all ways of getting in touch with Verizon are failing? I tried online chat and hopelessly waited for half an hour, despite chat promising me someone would be there in 16 minutes. I tried setting up a call, while the call system is clearly not working. Tried reaching out through supposedly 27/7 Facebook messaged app - and it also doesn’t work!
All of this starts to feel like an elaborate trick to get more money from me and brings in so much frustration and disappointment.
