What to do about Double Play package??

So I got the Verizon double play package last year: Internet 50mbps Fios tv pref HD plus equipment for $152/mo My wife is pregnant and were now super broke since I lost my job. I called Fios and they said we have 10 months left on our contract and would have to pay an ETF of $100. Told them we would just want internet since we could get by with SlingTV, and they said it would be almost $90/month! The rep was pretty rude when I told her we couldn't afford it anymore and went on and on about our contract. I feel like were being held against our will - they will only offer us a new package fro $112 if we downsize (and do another 2 year agreement), but all we want is internet. What to do?? I feel like we should just cancel the whole thing and tell them were moving and sign back up in my wifes name. Just broke and frustrated with them...

Unfortunately, you are obligated to your contract.

If you go online, see what you can do about TV service.

Go down to the lowest level (You might be able to get locals only).

And return every STB you have.

Also see how low you can drop your Internet service.
