I have a detached garage that is 50 ft. from my G3100 router location. Is there a cost effective way to extend the range?
Thanks

This is the 5G/LTE section. You want the Fios section that's https://community.verizon.com/t5/Fios/ct-p/home
The BEST option is to do an access point in the garage and run (or pay someone) an ethernet cable from the router to the garage.
Otherwise, a wifi extender may be an option.

True outdoor Wi-Fi range extenders are almost exclusively designed to receive both their data and power over an Ethernet cable, so the previous solutions provided by @scott31339 are the best way to implement a proper solution.
Now, because 50ft., is a relatively short distance (assuming the wall materials in the home and detached garage aren't going to kill the Wi-Fi signal), you may be able to get by with a non-proper solution: Use a Wi-Fi Extender inside the home that is located as close as possible to the garage as you can get (power will likely need to be turned up to high on the extender).
If you're a wireless networking expert, you'll know to use signal measurement tools for determining feasibility and placement. If you're not, buy a decent extender with a good return policy (I'm a fan of TP-Link extenders) and give it a try.
Good luck!

Hello Fdoering01, being on top of your service is crucial, especially if you are managing your Wi-Fi. Verizon is here to help.
What type of internet servcie/equipment do you have? Are you encountering reception problems?

I have a G3100. No reception problems, just low signal level in detached garage that's only 50 feet away. - Thanks
